Privacy Agreement
This Privacy Agreement describes the information we process to support the services provided by the Novelit App and Website. You can find additional tools and information in Novelit t Settings. It explains the practices of personal data we collect from you or that you provide to us in connection with Novelit. If you do not agree to this Agreement, you should not use Novelit.
In order to help you create an account with Novelitand use the Services, we need to collect and process some information. However, the information we collect depends on how you use Novelit and the choices you make. We use personal information to: things you and others do and provide.
• Information and content you provide.
• When you use Novelit, we may collect your nickname, content you provide (such as metadata), such as the location of the novel you upload or the date the file was created.
• When you choose to pay for services or withdraw payments on Novelit, we may collect your payment information, This information is necessary to complete Novelit's commercial transactions. We use this information to enable and complete your transaction.
• We also collect data when you choose to provide feedback or contact us, or otherwise voluntarily provide information to us, our employees or our contractors.
• Your Usage.
We collect information about how you use Novelit, such as the type of content you read; Features you use; Actions you take; the person or account you interact with; and the time, frequency, and duration of your activity.
Device information
As described below, we automatically record your activity on Novelit, including the content you view on Novelit, the time you view such content, the time of your visit, the URL from which you visited our website, and information about your time on Novelit Additional details of use and operation. We also automatically collect data, including cookie IDs and settings, from cookies stored on your device.
A cookie is a small piece of text used to store information on a web browser. Cookies are used to store and receive identifiers and other information on computers, mobile phones and other devices. Other technologies, including data we store on your web browser or device, identifiers associated with your device, and other software, are also used for similar purposes. In this Agreement, we refer to all of these technologies as "cookies".
We use cookies if you have a Novelitaccount, use Novelit, including our websites and applications, or visit other websites and applications that use Novelit. Cookies enable Novelit to provide Novelit to you and to learn about the information we receive about you, including information about your use of other websites and applications, whether you are registered or logged in.
We use cookies to:
Verify the login information.
Track service-related traffic and travel patterns.
Keep an eye on the total number of visitors and device types for your service.
Monitor the performance of the service and continuously improve it.
Customize and enhance your online experience.
To provide you with customer service.
You have the right to choose whether or not to accept cookies. However, please note that if you choose to reject cookies. If you disable the use of browser cookies, some parts of Novelit may not work properly. Note that these controls are different from the ones Novelit provides you.
We use the information we have (subject to the choices you make) as described below and to provide and support Novelit and the related services described in the Novelit Terms and Instagram Terms. Here's how:
Create your Novelit account and provide our services to you; Identify you throughout the Platform;
To provide you with technical support services;
Communicate with you (for example, to let you know about upcoming changes or improvements);
Send you marketing emails, unless you opt-out;
Calculate anonymous and aggregated statistics to better understand our users, improve our services, develop new features, personalize and customize your story discovery experience;
To help prevent spam, fraud, abuse and other prohibited activities;
Display relevant, tailored advertising and improve your advertising experience, unless your separate consent is required;
For security purposes, other purposes are to operate, develop, and improve our services.
Your information is shared with third-party partners
We work with third-party partners who help us and improve Novelit, which allows our company to operate and serve people around the world. We will not sell any of your information to anyone and we never will. We also impose strict restrictions on how our partners may use and disclose the data we provide. The following are the types of third parties with whom we share information:
Partners who provide our analytics services to offer you special offers through Novelit;
a member, subsidiary or affiliate of our corporate group to enable Novelit to improve and optimize and prevent illegal use and support of users;
Law enforcement agencies, public or tax authorities, or other organizations, if required to do so by law.
We will not rent or sell your personally identifiable information to other companies or individuals unless we have your consent.
Finally, we may share de-identified information in accordance with applicable law.
We take appropriate security measures, such as encryption, to ensure the confidentiality of your personal data during transmission and storage to prevent unauthorized access or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or data destruction. We limit access to your personal information to employees who need to know that information to operate, develop, or improve our Services.
Although we make good faith efforts to store information collected on the Services in a secure operating environment, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of this information during transmission or storage on our systems. We do not warrant or represent that your information will be protected against loss, misuse or alteration by third parties, as no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Novelit is not suitable for children. The Platform is not directed to children under the age of 13 or equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction. If you believe that we have personal data about or collected from a child under the relevant age, please contact us at novelitservice@hotmail.com .
For many of our services, we provide mechanisms to update and correct your personal data and non-personal data. You have the right to have your personal data rectified and corrected at any time by logging into your account. In relation to correction requests, if we agree that personal data is inaccurate or incomplete, we will attempt to inform any third parties to whom we disclose the relevant personal data so that they can also correct the personal data.
You also have the right to access the personal data we hold for you, how we use it and with whom we share it.
You can also enjoy the right to request restriction of processing and the portability of your personal data. However, we may process your personal data if we have other valid legal bases (for example, to defend legal claims or other protections). You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, and you may object to our use of your personal data based on legitimate interests (for example, where we use your personal data to ensure account security).
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide you with the Services or complete the transaction you have requested or authorized. If we do not need your information to provide services to you, we will only retain such data for as long as necessary for a legitimate business purpose, including as long as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, enforce our agreements, resolve disputes, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at novelitservice@hotmail.com. We will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis.
You may delete your account, and you should understand that by deleting your account, you will lose your right to access or use all or part of the Platform. After you delete your account, we may retain certain information in an aggregated and anonymized format.
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our information practices ("Update Agreement"). We will not reduce your rights to any updates to this Agreement without your express consent, and we always indicate the date of publication of the last change.
We may not be able to notify you in advance of changes we need to make to the Agreement to meet security, safety, legal or regulatory requirements. If we believe that any changes to this Agreement are reasonably material, such as a change in the purpose of processing personal data that is incompatible with the original purpose for which it was collected, we will notify you (where reasonably practicable) by posting the change in your inbox message or by posting it on our website. Any changes to this Agreement will be effective immediately upon our posting, unless we indicate otherwise.
If you do not agree to abide by this Agreement, you are not permitted to use the Service, and if you continue to access or use the Service after we post the updated Agreement, we will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by the updated Agreement. If you do not agree to the updated Agreement, you must stop accessing or using the Services and close your account, if applicable.
Novelit allows other companies, known as third-party ad servers or ad networks, to serve ads within Novelit's platform. These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to send advertisements and links that appear on Novelit directly to you. When an advertisement occurs, they automatically receive your IP address. They may also use other technologies, such as cookies, JavaScript, or web beacons, to measure the effectiveness of their advertising and personalize the advertising content you see.
Novelit does not provide any personally identifiable information to these third-party ad servers or ad networks without your consent, except as part of a specific program or feature that you can opt in or opt out of.
You should review the privacy agreements of these third-party ad servers or ad networks for more information on their practices and instructions on how to opt out of certain practices. Novelit's Privacy Policy does not apply to such other advertisers or platforms, and we have no control over their activities. Any data obtained by third-party ad servers and subsequently shared with Novelit is maintained and processed by Novelit in accordance with this Privacy Agreement.
If you wish to make a complaint about how we process your personal data, please submit a complaint by email novelitservice@hotmail.com. We will endeavour to process your request as quickly as possible. This does not affect your right to file a claim with a data protection authority or to follow the dispute resolution process provided in the Terms of Service.
